The Astir Palace hotel complex is a significant leisure destination in Greece, with a rich history dating back to the 1960s. It has recently collaborated with the prestigious Four Seasons chain to revamp the property. The renovation involved the efforts of several prominent design teams that worked together to create a haven of relaxation and wellness within a space that has played a significant role in Greek tourism history. One of the teams that contributed to this project was the L+DG Lighting Architects, who were responsible for designing the lighting of all outdoor spaces, both natural and built environments, such as the landscape and hardscape. Their contribution has added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall ambiance of the property.

The TORRE EUROPA building in Madrid is an iconic landmark that stands tall at a height of 120 meters with its 32 floors of offices. Recently, the building underwent a significant renovation, entrusted to the renowned architectural firm Callison RTKL and the lighting experts at L+DG Lighting Architects. The project's objective was to maintain the building's historical significance while infusing modern elements into its design and making it more eco-friendly to reduce energy consumption. The building's renovation has been recognized with the prestigious CTBUH award for Best Building Renovation, and it has also been certified with LEED Gold, which is a testament to its sustainable features.

Its impressive renovation was executed by the renowned 3SK Stylianidis Architects and Wimberly Interiors London (WATG), while the esteemed L+DG lighting architects were responsible for the lighting design of all common areas. The lighting study included all of the hotel's significant areas, such as the Reception Lobby & Gallery, All-day Dining, Prefunction & Ballroom, Meeting Rooms, Gym & Spa, Entrance, Atrium, Roof Garden, and E&O Restaurant. With their expertise in lighting design, L+DG has contributed to creating an ambiance of sophistication and elegance throughout the hotel.

Merlata Bloom, in Milano, stands as a testament to cutting-edge lighting design, seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality to create a captivating retail environment. The lighting design, a key feature of the mall, emphasizes a harmonious integration of natural and artificial light, enhancing the architectural beauty and overall shopping experience.

Upon entering the mall, visitors are greeted by a flood of natural light streaming through expansive skylights, creating an inviting and open atmosphere. This is complemented by strategically placed LED fixtures that provide ambient lighting, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment throughout the day and into the evening.

At Nafsika's venue Helios, guests can experience both relaxation and functionality in a harmonious setting. Whether you are enjoying a meal or taking in the stunning pool and sea views, each guest's needs are catered to with appropriate individual lighting. Plus, the lighting levels are thoughtfully designed to gradually decrease from the hotel towards the sea, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for all guests. The use of indirect lighting for the plants adds to their overall appeal. Working with K-studio, unique lighting fixtures were created specifically for the two bars. The materials used in the fixtures, such as marble and bronze, are consistent with the rest of the space. Additionally, the fixtures were constructed to meet high standards of durability and water resistance due to their proximity to the sea.

The Melissa vertical mill-pasta factory complex, located in Larissa since 1974, covers an impressive area of ​​85 acres, making it not only one of the most modern vertical mill-pasta factory complexes in Europe but also the largest in the Balkans. In 2018, the complex underwent an extension that included the construction of a new mill and new wheat silos. Additionally, the lighting of the entire complex was upgraded, enhancing the image of the complex, including the central production unit, new silos, loading and unloading area, parking lots, and even the new museum currently under construction. The new silos are set to be visible from the Athens-Thessaloniki highway, making the complex even more noteworthy.

The lighting in Taverna37 is quite impressive, with different areas having unique lighting fixtures that add to the overall ambiance. Near the sea, the lighting is reminiscent of traditional tavern lighting with lanterns, hanging lamps, and custom-made lighting fittings that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. In the upper restaurant area, the lighting approach is more European including lighting fittings mostly integrated into the ceiling structure and focused on the tables. The attention to detail in the lighting fixtures is evident, with materials such as marble and bronze used to create durable and water-resistant fixtures for the bars near the sea.
